"Money isn't everything." He looked back to face Sel, looking him in the eyes. "That's what got you into this mess. I go into that building and I won't come out the same person unless I have the means to do so. I need something to trade, something I'm sure you didn't have back when you got stuck in my position. You'll get your pay from me, but only after I have the money to pay you with. I've got years ahead of my life and I'm not going to lose them all to some crimelord." Morik stopped as he looked back down the sewers. "Besides. The place I'm going? Inside the city?" He paused for a moment. "I never planned on coming back."

-sel looked at him and then sighed morik new nothing nico had excepted him as family and thats why he was working for him- "im working for my brother is that so wrong he may be a crimelord but hes the only family i have which makes the gang my family as well i feel at home and safe with them morik if you think we are so bad then what do you think of me because im just his runner and uncorupted"

"I'm not talking about you Sel." Morik sighed as he looked back at him again. "Whether you feel safe with them or not, I am NOT getting myself involved in a mess I don't need. No debts, no liability. I'll return when I have the money for him, but it's become apparent that it is all you are seeing anymore too." Morik looked straight forward again, then down into the sewers. "You'll realize that once you have nothing left." With that he dropped back down the sewer hole.

After landing Morik heard footsteps, signalling that Sel was leaving. Now that he could make sure this wasn't a trap, he climbed back up the ladder and poked his head out, looking around until he saw Sel disappearing around a corner. Quickly he climbed the rest of the way out, then bolted to the corner and pressed his back against the wall, looking around it and watching Sel carefully. "Perfect." He mumbled to himself. He hadn't been noticed.

-sel continued to walk around the slums aimlessly thinking about what morik had said to him and wondering if he should actually focuse more on finding a mate someone to excepte him for who he was and not what he had-

Morik grew impatient now, slightly irritated about how the man wasn't even heading towards the asylum. This both allowed him to see that he was either trustworthy, or just searching for more prey, but either way he needed to find someone to help him get deeper in, and he seemed to be the only ticket. With a sigh he continued to follow him before walking up and tapping his shoulder. "Oi, Sel." He said quietly.

-sel jumped a good ten feet almost losing his hidden tail and ears which wouldnt be good and then relaxed seeing that it was only morik and not someone from the military- "his morik what are you still doing inside the city and how long have you been following me"
